Foam attachment for electrical operated nozzles
Alco foam attachments allow foam to be applied with multi-purpose nozzles. The foaming of the multi-purpose nozzles is increased by air supply in the foam attachment. The foam attachment can be removed from the multi-purpose nozzles at any time in order to use the full functions of the multi-purpose nozzle. Jet/spray nozzles (MZ nozzles) can be used to produce foam in connection with foam attachments and using conventional foam agents. Foaming with MZ nozzles and foam attachments can be compared with foaming using low expansion foam pipes. MZ nozzles and foam attachments are adjusted to each other at the factory. Foam attachments for other MZ nozzles on request.

Foam branch pipe SW electrical
Foam pipes generate foam by mixing extinguishing agent and air. Depending on the application, Alco foam pipes are equipped with an integrated proportioner. Optionally, a deflector gives the foam jet the right shape. Foam branch pipes (SW) consist of a nozzle with attached throw pipe. Air is being drawn up from the environment due to the aerosol effect. Foam will then develop when this air is mixed with the extinguishing agent in the throw pipe. Expansion ratios of the foam up to 15 are reached depending on the foam agent. Reach of the jet is a bit shorter than with a full jet or MZ nozzle. Foam pipes can also be exclusively operated with water which would extend the throw distance. Switchable foam branch pipes (e.g. SW 30/15) allow adjustment of their flow. In the process, the size of the nozzle opening is changed by a switchover mechanism. Switchover can be performed both manually and using an electric drive. SW 45/5-8-DC Through a special design of our so-called ICAO foam tubes, a foaming rate of around 20 can be achieved. Deflectors on electric foam pipes are opened and closed by an electric linear drive. Due to an appropriate design, opening and closing is also possible during operation. The flow rate of this foam pipe can be continuously adjusted with an electric linear actuator within the specified flow ranges. Further flow ranges can be set between the above mentioned maximum ranges according to customer requirements. An adjustment of 100% and 50% is also possible.

Full jet nozzle
Full jet nozzles produce a compact jet with a long throw. The concentrated jet means that a small impact point is exposed to a lot of water and force. Full jet nozzles have a conical run-up section and a cylindrical end piece to produce a compact jet with a long range and high penetration capacity. They are particularly well suited to concentrating large amounts of water over a long distance onto a small area. Full jet nozzles are not suitable for foaming and therefore for use with foaming agents.
Multi purpose nozzle MZS
Multi-purpose nozzles are characterized by the possible change between hollow and spray jet. Depending on the design, it is also possible to adjust the flow rate directly at the nozzle. Special versions of the multi-purpose nozzles allow the simultaneous application of powder and water/foam mixtures. An integrated proportioner allows the direct admixing of foam concentrate at the nozzle on certain models. With a foam attachment they are also suitable for the application of foam. MZ nozzles (multi-purpose nozzles) are equipped with a baffle, which deflects the flow of extinguishing agent at the nozzle outlet so that it comes out through a ring-shaped slit. The resultant full jet is then deflected again at the so-called jet-forming sleeve to be bundled into a compact jet. It has a shorter range than a full jet. However, by pulling back the jet-forming sleeve it is possible to continuously adjust the opening angle of the jet up to a conical spray. A spray jet of this kind can absorb large amounts of energy and heat radiation. Moreover, the fine drops, which make up the spray, are also ideally suited for washing noxious substances out of the air. MZ nozzles create up to triple expansion of type AFFF foam agents without any additional auxiliaries. MZ nozzles with foam attachment can be deployed with all types of foam agents and provide foaming results which are comparable to those achieved with low expansion foam pipes. The multi-purpose nozzle MZS 2000 has an integrated mixing device. At a flow rate of 2,000 l/min at 8 bar, the proportioning rates can be adjusted accordingly by means of an integrated control element. By turning the nozzle body, the stream shape can be infinitely adjusted during operation
